For more than 140 years, the Civic Committee and the Commercial Club of Chicago together have helped shape this City. Jennifer W. Steans is the President and CEO of Financial Investments Corporation ("FIC"), where she oversees private equity investments and the Steans family office operations. Prior to founding FIC in 1994, Ms. Steans served as Treasurer of Prime Graphics, Inc. and as a Senior Consultant, and then as a manager, for the Management Consulting arm of Deloitte & Touche, primarily in the finance and health care industries. Ms. Steans’ business affiliations include serving as a Director of Valley National Bank, as well as past Chair of the Board of Directors of USAmeribancorp, Inc., a privately held Tampa Bay area middle market bank. Ms. Steans currently serves on the Advisory Boards for 5th Century Partners, Kellogg Center for Family Enterprises, Kellogg Women’s Leadership Council, Massey & Gail, Nine Four Ventures, Phoenix Pact, Prairie Capital, Siena Capital Partners, and Vital Care.
Membership Requirements
Election to membership is for business and civic leaders of the Chicago metropolitan area who shall be deemed qualified by reason of their reputation, position in their business or profession, and service in the public interest, and who shall have demonstrated a strong and continuing personal commitment to the Club’s goals of promoting the social and economic vitality of the metropolitan area of Chicago.
